Dear Community,

Welcome to the Heninger Elementary School website!  I hope our website gives you a feel for the “Culture of Success” that we possess at our school.   Our teachers, staff, and parents earned a California Distinguished School award and this was accomplished  because of their belief that all students can be successful.  If our website does not give you the information that you are looking for please call us at 714-953-3800.  For day to day happenings, please follow us on Twitter @heningerschool, Facebook @HeningerAllStars, or Instagram @heningerallstars.

Principal's Message

Welcome back students, parents, staff, and our community members.  I wanted to share with you that the class schedules will be posted in front of the school on Tuesday, August 23rd.  The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 24th and the bell will ring at 7:40 am for all students. Please remember that it is a minimum day. Enjoy your last few days because we are ready to get to work.

Through the LCAP process (Local control funding), parents asked for more parent education, after school tutoring, and richer activities for our students to do during their recess time.  This year we will again partner with Padres Unidos, we will add Playworks for our recess time, and we have budgeted over $80,000.00 for enrichment/support time for our students beyond the regular school day.  We will continue our arts focus as we prepare students to enter Santa Ana High School (SAHS) with the skills to join orchestra, band, dance, and film advance classes beginning in their 9th grade year. We are excited to share that we will be offering Suzuki violin lesson to our students. We will collaborate with SAHS and bring a wonderful production to the community this Spring.  We will also have a ballet folklorico performance that will be the best from any middle school in Santa Ana.  Finally, we will have LIFI (Latino International Film Institute) mentoring our 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students as they continue to learn the craft of film making.

Our commited staff believes that our students can accomblish anything through dedication, hard work, and a belief in themselves.  I can't wait to see the faces of our young students as they continue on a road that will lead to an increased self awareness and give them an opportunity for success.

Let's Go!
