July 2009
July 4 Independence Day
Green up your favorite red, white and blue holiday! At your 4th of July picnic, use reusable dinnerware or purchase paper plates, paper napkins, and compostable plastic cups made from 100% corn�then toss them into your compost bin along with any food waste appropriate for composting.
July 9 Governor Strickland Green Initiatives Event & Fundraiser
Come support Governor Strickland and his green initiatives for the state of Ohio, and learn from leading experts on green. Learn how green technology businesses develop innovative new products and services. From clean coal and wind turbines, to LEED certified building construction and sustainable landscapes. Afterward, we will hear from and dialogue with Governor Strickland about his current work in environmental and energy policy since being elected in 2006. He�ll also speak about the future of Ohio, and how he plans to encourage Ohio�s �green� businesses and industries as part of his plan to improve the State�s economy.

The Go Green Challenge Committee extends a huge thank you to all the companies and Hamilton County residents who participated in the Go Green Challenge.
2009 proved to be another very successful year with overwhelming participation and unending energy from everyone involved. We look forward to working with all of you in 2010, along with many new participants�accomplishing even more to make Hamilton County greener than ever!
