What a strange and incredible year! My first out of the classroom since working in education since 2004. I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Lopez and the tutor/mentors. The great work that they have done with our English Learners and 9th graders has been indispensable.

Now as we prepare to plan and mentor for the 2020-2021 school year we will be taking into consideration how COVID-19 has changed everything. We must look at our students and how to address their cultural and social-emotional needs when creating curriculum that will be meant to support and engage them. 

While there will surely be many unanswered questions (and because of that frustrations) this will certainly be a great way to challange the status quo and learn and grow as an educator.
