About ISP
Independent study is an alternative to comprehensive classroom instruction and is not an alternative curriculum.
In other words, Independent study is a program the district offers students instead of a traditional setting where students have six or seven periods and attend daily. Students at who are in Independent study use the same curriculum that students in traditional school settings use.
Independent study is available to high school students, and is designed to respond to the pupil’s unique educational needs, interests, aptitudes, and abilities within the confines of legal authority and school board policy. Students who participate in independent study have the same course requirements as pupils in regular classes.
To learn more about independent study options, contact your counselor at your home school so she can contact the ISP Staff.
