IMPORTANT Change in Traffic BEGINNING Monday, March 31st
Dear Heroes Community,
Starting Monday, March 31 there will be MAJOR CONSTRUCTION and STREET CLOSURES on Civic Center from Flower to Shelton (in front of Heroes). They expect the construction to last until close to the end of the school year.
They will be reducing the traffic lanes down to one lane in each direction.
We need your help in adhering to modified drop-off and pick-up with patience and kindness.
Ensuring the safety of our students, parents, and community members remains our top priority, and your cooperation is needed AND appreciated.
To maintain a safe environment, we kindly request that:
ARRIVAL:

Drop Off: 7:15-7:55am

Please begin to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier to avoid the construction and drop-off traffic. (The earlier you arrive, the faster and less stressful it is).

EXITING THE VALET LANE - During this construction, we ask that all cars carefully exit the valet as soon as traffic permits and continue straight down Civic Center towards Bristol; Cars exiting the Valet Lane should not turn left at Baker. This blocks the flow of traffic out of the Valet lane and will cause MAJOR traffic flow issues.
DISMISSAL:

Please only arrive during your designated pickup time. If you are picking up primary AND upper, DO NOT get into the lane until the oldest child is dismissed. We will ask cars that enter the Valet Lane early to exit and return to the valet line at the time of dismissal.

Again, be careful when exiting the Valet Lane and only continue straight down Civic Center towards Bristol; Do not turn left on Baker or make a U-turn.
AS A REMINDER ...
*Pulling out of the Valet Lane and crossing over three lanes to turn left at Baker St. is EXTREMEMLY DANGEROUS. When exiting the Valet Lane, please move forward to Bristol.
*When you are waiting in line to drop-off or pick up, please do not go around the car in front of you. If you notice available space in front of a vehicle as a child is loading, please wait for our staff to signal you forward. It is crucial that we maintain order and follow these instructions to keep our students safe.
*Do not make a U-turn when exiting the Valet Lane or to enter the Valet Lane.
*Once you drop your child off, move forward and pull out into the closest lane when safe. Please do not block the other cars from moving forward by sitting idle at the Valet Lane. We have staff who will help your child get through the gate.
*All vehicles for drop-off and pick-up utilize the designated Valet Lane.
*You do not exit your car at any time.

*Cuando esté esperando en la fila para dejar o recoger a su hijo, por favor, no rodee el coche de adelante.
