Century TEACH Academy Student Recognized as one of Top 50 by Vital Link OC
Congratulations to Century High School and TEACH Academy Junior Student Valeria Silva! On Dec. 16, 2020, Vital Link OC recognized Silva as one of the top 50 leadership students in the County. Silva, along with several other Junior TEACH Academy students participated in a student leadership series program run by Vital Link OC. Students from across all Orange County and Los Angeles County schools participated in the program. Valeria was the only Santa Ana Unified School District student recognized in the top 50.
Vital Link OC seeks to help bridge education and business. The student leadership series program engages students over a 5 week term where students complete weekly workshops and attend live seminars. Through these workshops and seminars, students work through career exploration while understanding what is required to be a leader across different career pathways. Each week, students earn points based upon their work and participation in the various workshops.
As the TEACH Academy at Century High School works to develop the educators of tomorrow, student leadership is a primary goal of the TEACH Academy. Silva is an exemplary representative of Century’s TEACH Academy as a scholar and a leader.
