e-Business Academy Expectations
As a student in our academy program at Century High School, you have joined a special program that provides a unique learning experience. With that acceptance comes certain requirements for students in the program. As an academy student you no longer just represent yourself but will be representing your school and academy at opportunities outside the school environment. With that responsibility, it is important that you understand what is expected of all students in the academy program.
Expectations
E-1.0 All students are expected to commit to attending school daily and tardiness to class is not acceptable.
E-2.0 All students are expected to have a good attitude and treat teachers, staff, students, and others with respect and honor and represent our school and academy in a positive way. Each student is expected to be responsible, respectful, and committed to their own and others education.
E-3.0 Upper Classmen are expected to attend all single day trade shows and contribute the overall success of their company
E-4.0 You will be required to wear your academy shirt, company uniform or dress for success when on academy field trips and trade shows.
E-5.0 You will be required to fully participate in the yearly academy scholarship fund-raising program and raise $20 in donations and other community service projects.
E-6.0 Students are expected to maintain a 2.0 (“C” average ) grade point average or better while in the academy. Those who fail to maintain a 2.0 can be held out of field trips and/or competition.
E-7.0 Students failing classes are expected to get extra help in those classes at school tutoring opportunities.
E-8.0 Students are to put away phones and remove all personal listening devices as they enter the class.
E-9.0 No food or eating during class time. Water bottles are ok.
E-10.0 All students are expected to commit to a minimum of “one” full school year to the academy program.
Business Office Expectations (junior and senior classes)
During company office hours employees are expected to :
To stay on task to meet deadlines (failure to stay on task may result in disciplinary actions)
Not to have the cell phone out for any reason.
No inappropriate use of computer (YouTube ..etc)
No personal music listening during class (open playlists can be established by companies)
No leaving office (outside of e-Business classes) without company identification and facilitator permission.
No food (except water or during company events)
Required to sit in assigned department unless you are working on a collaborative task
Distinguished Graduates
During the time in the academy each student has the opportunity to graduate with distinction within our program. This carries and a number of requirements that must be met to receive a special academy cord to wear at graduation in their senior year.
Below are the requirements to be eligible for the distinguished graduate honor.
Sophomore Year:
Fully Participate in the Scholarship Basket Fund-raising program
Full participation in our adopt-a-Family community service project
Junior Year:
Fully Participate in the Scholarship Basket Fund-raising program
Attend and participate the San Deigo and LA Trade shows during the junior year.
Full participation in our adopt-a-Family community service project.
Senior Year:
Fully Participate in the Scholarship Basket Fund-raising program
Attend and participate the San Deigo and LA Trade shows during the senior year.
Full participation in our Adopt-a-Family community service project
Graduate with 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
Failure to meet one of the above requirements will eliminate the student from distinguished graduate honors.
