Eduardo Abascal - Student Member

 

Eduardo Abascal is a student from Saddleback High School and proudly serves as one of the elected Student Board Members for SAUSD Board of Education. As an IB Diploma candidate, Eduardo is a responsible and proactive student with strong commitment to academic excellence and student advocacy.

Beyond the classroom, Eduardo is involved in various extracurricular activities including athletics, clubs, and community organizations. His experiences have strengthened his interest in educational policy and student representation. Eduardo was a Top 12 Candidate in California for the Student Board Member position in the State Board of Education. In addition, he’s worked alongside students across the state in the California Association of Student Councils (CASC). He’s worked on multiple student-led education policy proposals presented to state legislators and the State Board of Education. He also currently serves as the Chairperson for the School Site Council at Saddleback helping to manage Title 1 funds.
