Advisor: Mrs. Rivera Rm: 302E-mail: Zayra.Rivera@sausd.usNHS is a community service club and part of a national organization honoring high-achieving students. 3.5 GPA and one AP class is the requirement for membership which is open to all students.The National Honor Society is grounded on 4 pillars:
- Scholarship
Academic achievement in high school courses demonstrating an earned cumulative weighted grade point average of 3.50 or above earned in grades 10-12. - Service
This involves voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community, done without compensation. - Leadership
Student leaders are those who are resourceful, good problem solvers, and idea contributors. Leadership experiences can be drawn from school or community activities while working with or for others. - Character
The student of good character is cooperative; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and generally, maintains a clean disciplinary record.
Please complete the application, along with a copy of your transcript, and bring it to Mr. Sandquist’s room 403. A writable application can be found in the Forms tab.
