• Valley High School Parents

    Parents are encouraged to get involved in Valley High School's learning community by volunteering their time, attending school events, or sharing in the decision-making process. The school welcomes assistance in the classroom, and library and/or media center on special days. Parents are always invited to help chaperone field trips.Valley High School provides a wide range of opportunities for parents to interact with school staff while supporting their child’s academic efforts; these may include:
     

    • Back to School Night

    • Open House

    • Student performances

    • Fundraisers

    • Music/choir and/or theatre performances

    • Science fairs

    • Sports events

    • Student recognition assemblies

    • Parent education training and/or workshops

     

    The following campus organizations provide opportunities for parents to have

    input on curricular programs, activities, and the design of the School’s Plan:

    • School Site Council (SSC)

    • English Language Advisory Council (ELAC)

    School-to-home communication is provided in both English and Spanish. Through routine correspondence and special announcements, parents are kept informed on school news, student activities, schedules, policy changes, and class curriculum updates including the following formats:
