I am a product of the Santa Ana Unified District.  I have worked in SAUSD since 1986.  I worked as an instructional assistant for about 14 years in special education, including the Early Start program, prior to becoming a teacher.  I have been teaching in special education since 1998.  I have worked with children from birth through High-School who have a wide variety of needs, including children with extensive medical needs, children with Autism, and children with mild, moderate and intensive needs.  I have been in my current position with infants and toddlers since the 2001-2002 school year.

I believe that a trusting and open relationship between the school and the family is the foundation for a child’s success. I believe that the family is the most important “teacher” in a child's life, and I am dedicated to helping families help their children, regardless of the needs.  I am proud of the work we currently do with families and young children.  It is my goal to provide families with the support they need to help their child succeed.
