    Quick Facts

    Where am I from?

    Born and raised in Santa Ana, I always knew that I wanted to return to serve my community. As soon as I graduated from university I began teaching at SAUSD. With over 20 years in education, 20 of them being an educator in Santa Ana, I am always filled with joy and a sense of homecoming when I drive into Santa Ana for work each day.

    I am a proud Santanera!

    Where did I go to school?

    		 I went to California Baptist University, Riverside for my undergrad and National University, San Diego for my Masters Degree. 

    What do I teach?

    Currently I am a teacher on Special assignment. My position is Outreach and Intervention Support.

    I have also taught grades 1 and 2 at Adams Elementary and grades 6 and 8 at CarrMiddle School.  

    What else am I involved in?

    I am co-founder of our on-site mentor group called Young Women Shine. We mentor about 40 students in career path and life skills.

    I am also a mentor for Sunburst Youth Academy. I have been referring students and mentoring for about 8 years. 

    What are my interests outside of school?

    		 Outside of school I practice yoga, jog, walk, hike, bike, read and journal. I also love to cook and spend time with friends and family. I especially love spending time with my 2 sons.
