    As we approach the last weeks of school (before our summer programs begin), we want to keep you informed about all the events coming up.  As you all know, these events are privileges.  Students with egregious disciplinary records will not participate in these events.  When necessary, they will be provided an alternative learning program (e.g. during Olympic Field Day). If you have questions, please contact your child's Counselor via email or by dialing 714 558-5113:

     8th Grade Dinner Dance
     Friday, May 27th at the Villa Gymnasium
     -5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
     -$15 entrance fee (includes dinner) + parent/guardian written permission required.  Tickets are on sale at school now.
    Our Associated Student Body is sponsoring a dinner/dance designed for our amazing 8th graders who gave it their all throughout the year.  It's a semi-formal dance, so all students should be dressed appropriately...


    • Dark slacks or denim jeans
    • Collared shirt


    • Strapless, bare-back, or spaghetti strap dresses or tops are not permitted
    • As a safety precaution, no heels may be worn, regardless of the heel's thickness.  Wedges and flat shoes are permissible.

    8th Grade Equipment Return + Promotion Ticket Pick-Up
    Tuesday, May 31st at Villa Fundamental Intermediate School
    -8:30a.m.to 11:30 a.m.
    On Tuesday, 8th-grade students will be returning their Chromebooks and other materials (e.g. library books) between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the front of Villa Intermediate School (drive-thru).  At the drive-thru equipment/materials return event, each eligible 8th-grade student will receive four tickets to attend the Promotion Ceremony, which will convene later that afternoon.

    Schedule for drive-thru equipment drop off and ceremony ticket pick-up:

    8:30 am- Students with last names between A-C

    9:00 am- Students with last names between D-G

    9:30 am- Students with last names between H-L

    10:00 am- Students with last names between M-O

    10:30 am- Students with last names between P-R

    11:00 am- Students with last names between S-Z

    8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
     Tuesday, May 31st at Segerstrom High School (stadium)
    -2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    All eligible 8th-grade students participating in the Promotion Ceremony will be given four tickets for their family members to attend the Promotion Ceremony convening at Segerstrom High School's stadium.  All 8th-grade students must be on the Segerstrom High School stadium field by 1:00 p.m.  Doors to the stadium for family and friends will open at 1:30 p.m.  Please be advised that balloons, umbrellas, and large flower bouquets will not be permitted onto the stands.  Moreover, students may not wear celebration leis during the ceremony.


    6th-8th Grade Olympic Field Day
    Wednesday, June 1st at Villa FIS
     -Throughout the school day (dismissal at 1:25 p.m.)
     The entire faculty and staff of the school are working together to create a wonderful, outdoor day of learning--Olympic Field Day!  To celebrate this year of the 32nd Olympiad, students will be engaged in testing their physical skills, cooperation skills, creative skills, and social skills as they cycle through three zones full of varying fun activities across the campus.  Students can win tickets throughout the day and redeem them for a special snack (e.g. snow cone, popcorn, etc.).  Our students have had a trying year and so, we want to end the year with a big, fun celebration!  Students are NOT to bring backpacks to school.

    8th Grade Brunch and Awards
     Thursday, June 2nd at Villa FIS
     -Throughout the school day (dismissal at 1:25 pm)
    The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) along with our educational staff are providing eligible 8th-grade students with a delicious, warm brunch along with a special awards ceremony.  NOTE:  Promotion certificates will be distributed at the event.
