Timeline for School of Choice Transfers

2026-27 School Of Choice Transfer Window

If your family has any curiosity or interest in exploring the diverse schools within our district, we strongly encourage you to visit each school's individual webpage. You'll find comprehensive, up-to-date information on upcoming meetings, programs, and events designed to introduce you to their communities and offerings. This is the essential first step to becoming informed about all your student's educational possibilities.

Schools and Programs

January 8- January 23, 2026

  • School of Choice Transfer application open for all schools with capacity
  • Sibling Priority- sibling must attend the same school during 2026-27 school year
  • Application is for both Intra and Inter District transfer requests
    • To apply, you must:
      • Apply through AERIES Parent Portal account
      • Select up to TWO Schools of Choice. The first selected school is the Preferred School, and the second is the Optional school.
  • Once application has been submitted, no changes to the selected schools will be made

If awarded placement

If your student is awarded placement at one of the schools you selected, the parent/guardian will have 10 calendar days to accept or decline the awarded placement through an INFORMED IK12 form

  • If you choose to accept placement, the INFORMED IK12 form will explain the next steps to complete enrollment.
  • If you choose to decline or cancel the awarded placement, your student will be assigned to their resident school and will be removed from the awarded placement list. The next student on the waitlist will be offered the space.
  • If you do not respond to the awarded placement within the 10 calendar days, your student will be assigned to their resident school and will be removed from the awarded placement list. 
    NO LATE responses are accepted.
