About Senate Bill 939

As part of California’s focus on educational equity, we are sharing important resources to support neurodiverse students and help prevent and respond to bullying.

Beginning in the 2025–26 school year, all school districts are required to provide families, students, and staff with access to these resources . These materials are designed to support students with diverse learning needs and ensure every child feels seen, respected, and protected at school.

What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity recognizes that all students learn and experience the world in different ways. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.
Embracing neurodiversity means valuing these differences and creating environments where every student can thrive.
