Welcome to the Records Department!
We provide school records and transcripts for current and
former students of the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD).
Who can request records?
- Individuals age 18 or older: Must submit their own request.
Records cannot be released to a parent, guardian, or responsible person
without the individual's written consent. - Minors (17 and under): Parents or guardians must submit the request.
Records are released only with their authorization.

What to Include in Your Request
When requesting records, the following information MUST be included:
- Student’s full name while attending SAUSD (First, Middle, Last)
- Student’s Date of Birth
- Parent/Guardian name(s)
- School(s) attended within SAUSD
- Graduation date or last grade completed
- Daytime phone number
- Reason for request, such as:
- Grades/Transcripts, Immunization Records, Immigration, Passport, etc.
*For Passport Requests, provide 2 passport-sized pictures and send to:

- If applicable, the name and email address of the requesting party
(Potential employer, Colleges/Universities, Attorney, Legal assistance, etc.) - Indicate how you would like to receive your records
(Pick-Up, Email, or Mail)
* If requesting mail delivery, provide the complete mailing address including apartment/space number - Attach a valid form of identification
(i.e. Driver’s License, State ID, Matricula, or Passport) - To have someone else pick up your records, include the following written statement:
"I authorize (person's full name) to pick up my records for me."
The authorized person must present a valid Photo ID
Receiving Your Records
Requests are processed in the order they are received.
Please allow up to 5 business days for your request to be processed.
You will be notified by phone or email when records are ready to be picked up or mailed.
Additional Information
Fees
Per AR 5125, there is no charge for up to two (2) transcripts or records.
A fee of $3.00 will apply for each additional transcript.
Official and Unofficial Transcripts
Transcripts are considered official only if the sealed official envelope remains unopened. An unofficial copy will be provided for your personal records.
Diplomas
SAUSD does not issue copies of High School diplomas.
An official high school transcript serves as legal proof of graduation.
