Insurance Requirements, including SAM Insurance & General Liability 

 

Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) requires all consultants to provide evidence of Liability Insurance.  Also, all Independent Consultants, who will interact with students, are required to have Sexual Misconduct & Molestation (SAM) Insurance.

Below is the SAUSD Insurance Requirements Guide.  Insurance coverage depends on the scope of work.  Additional information regarding General Liability, SAM Insurance, and insurance vendor options is located further below.  Insurance from other vendors is also accepted.  For questions or concerns, contact Risk Management at 714-558-5856 or RiskManagement@sausd.us .

Sexual Assault & Molestation (SAM)

Insurance 

 

Independent Consultants that are required to have SAM Insurance include, but are not limited to, Occupational, Physical, Speech, Language & Vision Therapists, ABA Support Providers (autism spectrum), Psychologists, Independent Educational Evaluation Assessors (IEE), and After-School Programs. Other experts can also be considered; please contact our department at 714-558-5856 or RiskManagement@sausd.us for questions or concerns. 

Below are some SAM Insurance vendor options. Independent Consultants are able to have SAM insurance from other vendors.

Liability Insurance
Consultants & Service Providers
 

All consultants who work with the Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) must provide evidence of Liability Insurance. Consultants may purchase insurance through the Service Providers and Artisan Tradesmen Activities (SPARTA) Program. Click here for additional details about SPARTA.
