Welcome to Budget & Accounting!
The Budget & Accounting Department provides the financial foundation for the Santa Ana Unified School District. We ensure the district remains fiscally solvent, transparent, and aligned with our mission to provide every student with a world-class education through responsible resource management.
- The BUDGETING & FINANCIAL PLANNING department is responsible for the development, monitoring, and multi-year forecasting of the District's annual operating budget. This team ensure that state and federal funds—including LCFF and Title I—are allocated effectively to support classroom instruction, student services, and district-wide initiatives while maintaining healthy reserves and responding to enrollment trends.
- The ACCOUNTING & FISCAL SERVICES department manages the District's daily financial transactions. This includes Accounts Payable, where we process vendor payments and utility billing, and Accounts Receivable, which handles district income and cash receipts. Our team ensures all financial records are maintained with accuracy and integrity in accordance with the California State Accounting Manual.
