Daily cleaning, restrooms, kitchen/lunch areas, trash/liners, windows, and roving crew coverage.

Projects & Improvements
Use a Facilities Enhancement Request (FER) for site-funded improvements and installations (not routine repairs).

Visiting Schools
SAUSD prioritizes the safety and security of our students and staff. All visitors must first check-in at the main office of a campus. Before entry, you will be asked to provide a photo ID or valid Drivers' License so that a custom visitor badge can be generated via our RAPTOR visitor system.
Additionally, all contractors must submit a Site Visit Request and receive written approval before visiting any SAUSD campus.

Modernizing Our Schools
Repairing Aging Schools for Quality Education & Student Safety
On November 5, 2024 voters approved Measure I-2024, a $350 million school improvement bond measure to continue investment in Santa Ana's school facilities. Over 69% voted Yes to approve Measure I. Bond projects are now in advance planning.

The I-24 Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) has been appointed by the Board, and it will begin meeting quarterly upon the first issuance of bond funds.
Local Funding for School Improvements
On November 6, 2018, over 70% of voters said Yes to approve Measure I-2018, a $232 million school improvement bond measure. Most projects from this bond have either completed construction or are pending State approval.

SAUSD partners with Facilitron to provide an easy-to-use online portal for obtaining your certificate of compliance. Developers simply enter project details, upload forms, and select a payment method.

Why Do New Developments Pay School Impact Fees?
In 1998, the California Legislature passed Senate Bill 50, authorizing school districts to levy developer fees in order to finance the construction of school facilities to meet the educational demands created by local construction.

Developer fees are levied by SAUSD pursuant to Education Code §17620, and Government Code §65995 and §66001.
Payment Option A: Online 24/7
You may complete your fee payment via Facilitron using ACH bank account payment or credit card.
Certificates of Compliance (COC) are issued electronically.
This service may save you time and bank fees for issuing a Cashier's Check or Money Order. Often you can receive your COC within minutes of completing your payment.
Please note: this optional service applies a 3% platform fee for ACH bank account payments. If paying by credit card, additional bank fees apply.
Option B: In-Person Appointment
If you prefer, you can schedule an appointment with our staff to process your Developer Fee certificate. This option requires a Cashier's Check or Money Order. No additional charges are applied for this service.

Our Goals & Initiatives
Live & Cumulative Solar Generation
In 2010, SAUSD proudly completed the largest rooftop solar installations in Orange County at the time, delivering 800 kW of clean power. Since then, SAUSD has invested in an additional 8.5 megawatts around the District.
Our solar energy infrastructure helps reduce emissions, stabilize energy costs, and strengthen resilience against future utility rate fluctuations.
