School of Choice Transfers Open: January 8–23, 2026

Explore your options with Santa Ana Unified School District. The School of Choice Transfer window opens January 8, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and closes January 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. This opportunity is open to all SAUSD schools with available capacity, with priority given to siblings and children of employees. Families are encouraged to review application procedures, timelines, and requirements and submit their transfer request during the open window. SAUSD Honors December 2025 Employees of the Month

The Certificated Employee of the Month is Tracy Ricca Teacher at Garfield Elementary School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Alexys Soto, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Support Services.

SAUSD to Host Budget & LCAP Town Hall Meetings on December 15

SAUSD will host two Budget and LCAP Town Hall Meetings on December 15, 2025, to provide families and community members an opportunity to learn more about the district’s budget and participate in meaningful discussion around the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

A morning in-person session will take place at McFadden Institute of Technology from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., followed by an evening webinar from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Community members are encouraged to attend either session to share feedback and engage in this important conversation.

SAUSD Honors November 2025 Employees of the Month

The Certificated Employee of the Month is William (Bill) Snyder Teacher at Godinez Fundamental High School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Richard Robinson, Library Media Technician at Segerstrom High School.

The Certificated Employee of the Month is Veronica DeBruhl, Teacher at
Carver Elementary School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Anaiah Erdtsieck, Library Media Technician at Edison Elementary School.

Círculos High School Named Orange County Impact School

Congratulations to Círculos High School at Advanced Learning Academy for being recognized as an Orange County Impact School by the Orange County Department of Education! This honor celebrates Círculos’ innovative approach to education, strong collaboration, and creative strategies that are transforming student learning and strengthening community connections. Budget Town Hall Meetings Scheduled for Oct. 7, 2025

SAUSD will host a Budget Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, to provide an early look at the 2025–26 budget process. Join us in person from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Villa Fundamental gym, or virtually from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The District will share updates, answer questions, and gather feedback from families, staff, and community partners. Additional meetings are scheduled later this year—your voice matters!
