Explore your options with Santa Ana Unified School District. The School of Choice Transfer window opens January 8, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. and closes January 23, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. This opportunity is open to all SAUSD schools with available capacity, with priority given to siblings and children of employees. Families are encouraged to review application procedures, timelines, and requirements and submit their transfer request during the open window. SAUSD will host two Budget and LCAP Town Hall Meetings on December 15, 2025, to provide families and community members an opportunity to learn more about the district’s budget and participate in meaningful discussion around the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).

A morning in-person session will take place at McFadden Institute of Technology from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., followed by an evening webinar from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Community members are encouraged to attend either session to share feedback and engage in this important conversation.

All SAUSD schools and the District Office are closed November 24–28 for Thanksgiving Recess.

The Certificated Employee of the Month is William (Bill) Snyder Teacher at Godinez Fundamental High School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Richard Robinson, Library Media Technician at Segerstrom High School.

Following recent federal SNAP benefit reductions tied to the government shutdown, Santa Ana Unified School District is expanding efforts to ensure every child in our community continues to have access to nutritious meals.

SAUSD will host a Budget Town Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, to provide an early look at the 2025–26 budget process. Join us in person from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Villa Fundamental gym, or virtually from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The District will share updates, answer questions, and gather feedback from families, staff, and community partners. Additional meetings are scheduled later this year—your voice matters!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) determines a student’s eligibility for financial aid to assist with a student’s attendance at a college or career school.
