    Life Science

    Earth Science

    Physical Science

    Trimester 1:
ESS Earth's Place in the Universe
The apparent brightness of the sun and stars is due to their relative distance from the Erath.
There is change in length and direction of shadows, day and night, and the seasonal apperance of some stars in the night sky.
There are many examples of the ways that the geoshphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and or the atmosphere interact.
The percentage of water and fresh water in various reservoirs is distributed on Earth.
PS - Motion and Stability - The gravitational force exerted by Earth on objects is directed down.
Earth & Human Activity - Obtain information on the ways individuals and communities use Science to protect Earth's resoiurces and the environment.

    Trimester 2:
    PS Matter and Its Interactions
Developing a model to describe that matter is made of particles to small to be seen with the naked eye.
Prove that regardless of the type of change that occures when heating, cooling, or mixing matter, the total weight of matter is conserved.
Materilas can be identified based on their properties.
Do we always obtain a new substance when mixing two or more different matter?

    Trimester 3:
    LS From Molecules to Organisms
Plants and animals get the material they need for grwoth chiefly from air and water.
Describe the movement of matter among plants, animals, decomposers, and the environment.
    PS Energy
Energy in animals' food (used for body repair, growth, motion, and to maintain body warmth) was once energy from the sun.
