Field Trip to The Museum of Tolerance

Our 7th grade students visited The Museum of Tolerance on Monday, January 23rd and Tuesday, January 24th. Students have read the novel, Echo, by Pam Muñoz Ryan through their English Language Arts classes and learned about the atrocities of the Holocaust through the novel. Students were able to learn about instances of intolerance throughout history from the past to the present, exploring how we can be a more tolerant, compassionate, empathetic, and well-informed society. Our students expressed that they learned so much and their eyes were opened to the pain that they had only read about in books. Thank you to the entire 7th grade team, especially Mr. Cisneros and Ms. Rubio, for coordinating this event.
At Mendez, we value learning experiences. Go Mustangs!
