VOTE THROUGH MARCH 24 TO HELP SPURGEON INTERMEDIATE AND SANTIAGO K-8 ELEMENTARY RECEIVE IMPORTANT SCHOLAR DOLLARS GRANTS
Two Santa Ana Unified schools - Santiago K-8 Elementary School and Spurgeon Intermediate School - are in the running for grants through the ScholarShare Scholar Dollars contest and are asking the SAUSD community to vote for them daily through March 24 to help them win. Winners will be determined based on the number of votes they receive during the voting period, which ends March 24. To cast your votes, visit www.myscholardollars.com and search for the schools' profiles.
Spurgeon Intermediate is competing for a $15,000 grant to fund enrichment activities, such as attending professional music performances and working with professional musicians in the classroom, and materials for its music programs.
Santiago K-8 Elementary is in the running in a separate category for a $20,000 grant and is currently in first place. The school would use the funds to create an outdoor learning space, support Science & Engineering Makers Space Lab equipment, and for materials for its arts programs.
