About The Higher Education Center

Welcome to the Higher Ed Center page! The center is open every day from 7:30am to 4pm. You can research colleges, look for scholarships, get fee waivers and register for pre-college testing (SAT and ACT), and use the computers for schoolwork.

If you aren't sure where you want to go to college or what college offers the major you want, come in and get help researching colleges.

We have a representative from SAC, Mrs. Luisa Ruiz, here on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and our representative from SACs Talent Search Program, Ms. Liz Lomeli is here every morning but Friday.

If you are interested in either the EAOP program through UCI or the Upward Bound program through Cal State Fullerton, come to the Higher Ed Center and get more information.

About Ms. Lane-Schoonyan

Ms. Lane-Schoonyan is in her eleventh year with SAUSD and her third at Century High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree, her teaching credential and her Master's degree from Cal State Fullerton. She began her career in Santa Ana at Saddleback High School, teaching in both the Business and Math Departments. This is her fourth year at Century and her third year as Higher Education Coordinator.
